Acceptance of Terms
By accessing, browsing, or using Kanscourt (the "Platform"), including our website, mobile application, and all related services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms").
If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the Platform. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Kanscourt.
Eligibility: You must be at least 16 years of age to create an account. If you are between 16 and 18, you must have parental or guardian consent to use the Platform.
User Accounts
Account Registration
- You must provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
- Email verification is required to activate your account
- You may register using email or social login (Google, Facebook)
- One account per person; multiple accounts are not permitted
Account Security
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
- You must immediately notify us of any unauthorized access to your account
- Kanscourt is not liable for losses arising from unauthorized use of your account
Marketplace Rules
Kanscourt operates as a marketplace connecting African food vendors with customers worldwide. As a marketplace:
We Facilitate Transactions
We provide the platform for vendors and customers to connect. The contract of sale is between the vendor and the customer.
African Food Focus
All products listed must be authentic African food items, snacks, drinks, meals, spices, grains, or sauces.
Country-Based Operations
Customers can only order from approved vendors operating in their country. Vendors must specify their country of operation during registration.
Quality Standards
All vendors must maintain food safety standards and comply with local food regulations in their country of operation.
Vendor Terms
By registering as a vendor, you agree to the following additional terms:
Registration & KYC
- You must complete KYC (Know Your Customer) verification before listing products
- KYC requires a valid government-issued ID (passport or national ID) and mobile-only liveness verification
- You must accurately declare your African country of origin and country of residence
- Vendor accounts are subject to approval by Kanscourt administrators
Vendor Obligations
- Provide accurate product descriptions, images, and pricing
- Maintain accurate inventory levels and update product availability promptly
- Fulfill orders within the specified timeframe and maintain quality standards
- Comply with all local food safety, hygiene, and business regulations
- Clearly label allergens, dietary information (Halal, Vegetarian, Vegan, Gluten-Free)
Commission & Fees
Kanscourt charges a commission on each successful transaction. The commission rate will be communicated during vendor onboarding and may be updated with 30 days' prior notice. Vendors will receive payouts after deducting the applicable commission and any processing fees.
Customer Terms
As a customer on Kanscourt, you agree to:
- Provide accurate delivery information to ensure successful order fulfillment
- Make payment for all orders placed through the Platform
- Be available to receive deliveries at the specified address and time
- Check product descriptions for allergen and dietary information before ordering
- Provide honest and fair reviews of products and vendors
- Not use VPN or location-spoofing tools to circumvent country-based restrictions
Payments & Pricing
Pricing
All prices are set by vendors and displayed in the local currency of the vendor's country of operation. Prices include applicable taxes unless otherwise stated.
Payment Methods
We accept payments via Stripe (Credit/Debit Cards, GrabPay, FPX), PayPal, Flutterwave (Mobile Money, Bank Transfer), and Cash on Delivery where available.
Payment Security
All online payments are processed through PCI-DSS compliant payment processors. Kanscourt does not store your full payment card details.
Order Confirmation
An order is confirmed only after successful payment processing. You will receive an email confirmation with your order details and tracking information.
Delivery & Shipping
- Delivery times vary by vendor location, product type, and shipping destination
- Estimated delivery times are provided at checkout but are not guaranteed
- Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on order weight, size, and destination
- Risk of loss passes to the customer upon delivery to the specified address
Perishable Items: Some African food products are perishable. Customers must inspect perishable items upon delivery and report any issues within 24 hours.

To request a refund, contact our support team at support@kanscourt.com with your order number and photographic evidence of the issue. Refunds are processed within 5-10 business days.
Prohibited Activities
The following activities are strictly prohibited on Kanscourt:
Intellectual Property
The Kanscourt name, logo, tagline ("Taste Africa, Anywhere"), website design, and all related content are the intellectual property of Kanscourt and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
- You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without written permission
- Vendors retain ownership of their product images and descriptions but grant Kanscourt a license to display them on the Platform
- User-generated content (reviews, ratings) may be used by Kanscourt for marketing and improvement purposes
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
- Kanscourt is not liable for the quality, safety, or legality of products sold by vendors
- We are not responsible for delays, damages, or losses during delivery by third-party carriers
- Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific order in question
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
Termination
By Kanscourt
We reserve the right to warn, suspend, or permanently block any account that violates these Terms. Our enforcement actions include:

Severe or repeated violations
By You
You may close your account at any time by contacting our support team. Upon account closure, any pending orders will be fulfilled, and outstanding payments will be processed. Your data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Dispute Resolution
We are committed to resolving disputes fairly and efficiently:
Direct Resolution
Contact our support team first. We aim to resolve most issues within 5 business days.
Mediation
If direct resolution fails, both parties agree to attempt mediation before pursuing legal action.
Arbitration
Unresolved disputes may be submitted to binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the applicable jurisdiction.
Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any legal proceedings arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia. For users in the European Union, nothing in these Terms affects your rights under mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence.
