Vendor Data & KYC
If you register as a vendor on Kanscourt, we collect additional information:
- Business Information: Business name, description, African country of origin, country of residence
- KYC Documents: Government-issued ID (passport or national ID), front and back images
- Liveness Verification: Real-time facial recognition data captured during mobile-only liveness detection
- Financial Data: Bank account or mobile money details for payout processing
KYC Data Retention: Identity documents are securely stored for the duration of your vendor account plus 5 years after account closure, as required by anti-money laundering regulations. Liveness verification data is processed in real-time and not permanently stored.
International Data Transfers
Kanscourt operates globally, connecting African food vendors with customers worldwide. Your data may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, including:
- Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by relevant data protection authorities
- Compliance with GDPR for European users, POPIA for South African users, and PDPA for Malaysian users
- Data processing agreements with all third-party service providers
Children's Privacy
Kanscourt is not intended for children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
